Greetings and Happy New Year!

Postby Ariana Richards » Mon Jan 04, 2010 10:20 am

Hello and Happy New Year!

I hope this finds you well. I hope you stayed warm this Christmas! We had snow here in Oregon, quite unusual this early in the year. I hope this does not bode badly for the rest of the winter! I am a big fan of the sun. My Christmas was a good one, spent with family. One of the highlights had to have been my mother discovering the film “Joyeux Noel” or “Merry Christmas”. It is now a new favorite of mine. The story takes place during World War II in France where the French, Scots, and Germans were in battle. I had heard about what remarkable thing took place on Christmas Eve in the trenches that night, but to see it so beautifully portrayed in the film was unforgettable. Gary Lewis who starred in “Princess Stallion” with me did a wonderful job, they all did. Watching this powerful and moving film with the family made Christmas even more special this year. I thoroughly recommend it. ;-)

I am thinking of each of you that have been behind Ariana.org all these years. And I want to acknowledge how much I appreciate what you have done and continue to do—I am grateful and really enjoy seeing what you put together. I continue to refer anyone who is curious about my acting career experiences to Ariana.org for a fabulous tour of my acting pursuits, etc. Thank you again! And as far as New Year’s resolutions go, one of mine happens to be getting more organized, becoming more computer-oriented so I log in and check in with you a little more often, and I hope to post more frequently as well. :-)

Happy New Year! May your best dreams come true this year!

Ariana

By the way, I loved my Christmas messages. Here are my responses:

Dear Andrew (AKA Andyroo)

Thank you so much for your Christmas card and the photos of your production “Witness For The Prosecution.” I thoroughly enjoyed seeing you play the role of “Leanard Vole.” You are so expressive and alive in the role--the photos were delightful. It’s too bad you look so depressed in the last photo with the cast. ;-) Just kidding, I’m glad to see you’re having a good time and pursuing your love of stage work. And thank you for the festive photo to cheer me on to a great New Year! (Oh yes, it was great to see “Lady of the Dahlias” in the background!)
I expect you have more stage pursuits this coming year. I will look forward to receiving the next installment of your news. Thanks again!

Dear Benjamin, (AKA Tyrant Lizard King)

Thank you so very much for the Christmas video. I enjoyed hearing from you very much! It looks like you are doing well. How in the world do you manage to have such good color in your face in the middle of Winter?! Re: Velociraptors from “Jurassic Park” not being Velociraptors, but Dinonycus, I probably heard about that some time ago, but recently, I’ve become aware of that fact and it’s come up in conversations. Thanks for being sure I wasn’t in the dark. It would look very bad for “Lex” to be behind the times when it comes to dinosaur facts. :-)

The photos you took were beautiful. My favorite was the one of the two parrots. Wow!
And thanks for recommending “King Kong”, no I haven’t seen it yet, but I will put it on the ‘to watch’ list. Thanks again for your Christmas greeting. I hope your Christmas was a really good one.

Dear Gregory,

Thank you so much for your kind Christmas mp3 message and for your good wishes! I am so pleased to hear that you are continuing your pursuit of music. Music is such a wonderful way of reaching people. Your rendition of “Silent Night” on the recorder was beautiful. Thank you very, very much. I am pleased that you are now sharing your music-- I understand that this is a fairly new development! In fact, hearing your song brought to mind the movie I just mentioned that I discovered this Christmas “Joyeux Noel.” I hope you had a joy-filled holiday. And may the New Year be very good to you! Thank you again!
